Bewitching The Enemy Review

Bewitching The Enemy by Dawn Chartier
A Vieux Carre Witch Sister Novel
Published October 27, 2014
4 Magical Stars

"Some secrets should not be kept."

Synopsis -

A paranormal category romance from Entangled's Covet imprint...

Rebuilding New Orleans...one witch at a time

Contractor Storm Morgeaux is trying to keep her business afloat and not sleep with the hot-'n'-sexy new client, Dr. Nathan Davis. Adding to her troubles is the fact she accidentally released a series of dark spells. Now evil warlocks are after her family, and she has no idea who she can trust.

Nathan's biggest concern is getting his pediatric surgery center up and running. Still, his stunning new contractor provides plenty of distraction―until she sets off his Paladin medallion. A warlock is near. Nathan's first responsibility is eliminating the woman who wields new and dangerous magic. But something about Storm calls to him. She's mysterious, sexy, and downright irresistible, but most surprisingly, his.

Without the spells, Storm must learn to trust her new abilities. But can she trust the man who's torn between loving her...and killing her? (Goodreads)

Review -

Welcome to New Orleans, the largest hot-spot for activity in the Paranormal world. Dawn Chartier has created a world in which readers will be stuck until the get to the end. A group of sisters who knew nothing of their families' past are about to find out the hard way that they have magic in their very blood. Problem? By not knowing the power they have locked away inside may not only be their downfall but very likely could get them all killed.

Storm Morgeaux thinks she has more than enough on her plate trying to maintain her families business, without letting on to them just how bad things have gotten. So when her Mother demands she be right on time to say a prayer in front of her Grandma's portrait, Storm figures it'll be no big deal if she's a few minutes late. That is until she walks in to see they have begun without her and her Mother goes limp on the floor. What happens next changes their world entirely and has them all questioning everything they though they knew.

Dr. Nathan Davis is a surgeon by day and a Warlock hunter by night. One with a heart of gold. He has intentions on building multiple Pediatric Centers along New Orleans, if he can get his Paladin medallion to stop going haywire anytime he gets near the contractor he's hired to do the job. He can't explain why it seems to be working one minute and going completely haywire the next, or why he can't seem to keep his hands off of the blazing red head that seems to be causing its circuits, and his, to be going nuts. Now he just needs to figure out if she is in danger or if the danger is her.

Bewitching the Enemy is a Paranormal Lite with a healthy dose of both Paranormal and Romance. Full of humor, characters readers will instantly fall in love with, words that seem to flow from the page and more than a few lessons on why keeping secrets isn't always a good thing. The only thing I wish was that the sisters' powers were explored a little more. But, I have it on good authority that Book 2 will be even more explosive in the magical department.

The Shadows of Stormcylffe Hall Review

The Shadows of Stormclyffe Hall
By Lauren Smith
Published September 29, 2014 by Entangled Select
5 Haunted Stars!

"Gothic Romance at its' supernatural best."

Synopsis -

A thrilling gothic romance from Entangled’s Otherworld imprint…

To defeat a dark evil, they must face his family’s past…

Bastian Carlisle, the Earl of Weymouth, doesn’t believe in ghosts. Even though tragedy and mysterious hauntings have driven his family away from his ancestral home, Stormclyffe Hall, he is determined to restore the castle to its former glory. His plans are disrupted when a stubborn American shows up on his doorstep hoping to pry into his family’s tragic history.

Jane Seyton, an American graduate student, is convinced there’s more to the tragedy of Stormclyffe Hall than history claims. Ever the scholar, she is determined to discover the truth, even if it means putting up with the arrogant, yet sexy, Bastian.

Although Bastian wants nothing to do with the pushy American, it soon becomes clear that something evil is in the house—and that something is targeting both Jane and Bastian. The two must join forces to purge the ghosts of Stormclyffe Hall once and for all—even as they try to fight a physical attraction between them that grows more and more impossible to deny. (Goodreads)

Review -

Haunting's, tragic love affair, obsession, doomed love, all the makings of a great Gothic Romance that is sure to leave chills up and down the readers spines. Lauren Smith proves to be an amazing author with a talent to pull readers inside of her world, caring for her characters as deeply as they care for one another.

Doomed from the very beginning, due to a jealous rage of a witch gone mad, Bastien and Jane are being haunted with the memories of their ancestors. Though neither have ever met and are thousands of miles apart, their blood is calling them both to the shadowed estate of Stormeclyffe Hall.

Lucy has chosen to do her dissertation on the line of tragic deaths that seemingly every woman whom has dared to love a Earl of Weymouth has succumbed to. To do so, she must have something more solid than a few ghost stories. Which leads her across the seas to the infamous Stormclyffe, a place that sings to her blood and been the backdrop of her nightmares. As she comes closer to the truth of the manor, and her dreams, she also comes closer to her own demise.

Bastien Carlisle is bound and determined to see his Father's final wishes fulfilled, to reconstruct their families' home. Something that seems to be easier said than done. With workers who are too afraid to stay after dark, things breaking right after they have been fixed, it begins to look like an impossible task. Add on a stubborn American Scholar bound and determined to discover all of his family secrets, things seem even more desolate than impossible. But that little American is also awakening something that he had sworn to forever keep closed off, his heart. She is also awakening more than a few restless spirits. The more he is around her, the more he finds himself caring for her and the more he tries to stay away, gravity seems to pull them right back to each other. Which leaves him with but one choice; break a curse that he doesn't even believe in.

Its a race against time as Jane and Bastien try to "fix that which is broken", before its too late for them both. They must break a centuries old curse placed upon two ill fated lovers, who did nothing wrong other love the other.

Gothic Romance lovers will love this modern tale, as it also has more than a few scenes that flashback to days of old. Not a dull moment, nor a wasted page, The Shadows of Stormclyffe Hall is a true must read.

Origins by Sean Hayden
Demonkin Book 1
RePublised September 2, 2014
5 BLOODY CLAWS AND FANGS!

"Urban Fantasy at its Bloody best. All Paranormal lovers will love this, regardless of gender."

Synopsis -

Being different is never easy, especially when you're a vampire.

Ashlyn is far from normal. She was born a vampire, a trait that makes her utterly unique. Knowing this, her family strived to keep her existence a secret. Tragedy forces her from hiding and hunger drives her into the open. Unfortunately, living in a world that has accepted, embraced, and yet still fears the supernatural is never a good place to stand out. Especially when the one who notices you wants you dead. The only people who can save her want to use her as well, but she's left with little choice. Ashlyn joins the FBI and becomes torn between two worlds. She can either be a monster, or she can help destroy them. (Goodreads)

Review -

This is one tale of "Who's the Daddy?" that would have even me watching Maury Povich. Readers won't be finding any romance within these pages. What they will find is plenty of action, blood and a sinisterly good plot. As Ashlyn tries in vane to discover what she truly is, readers will know from page one exactly that, and just which infamous demon spawned her.

Ashlyn would believe that she was a vampire as everyone else does, if it wasn't for all of the anomalies that is her. The biggest one of all being the fact that she was born this way, not made. It isn't until she is unexpectedly thrust into the real world, after growing up in compete seclusion, that she realizes just how many differences she truly has.

After having gone two days without feeding, Ashlyn's hunger strikes with a vengeance. Only her thirst doesn't seem to be for human blood at all, unless it contains more than a taste of magic within its cells. So when she allows her nose to lead her to a vampire bar it could prove to be the either the best decision she has ever made, or the worst mistake of her unlife.

Readers will not be able to put Origins down until they reach the bloody end. This is a read not intended for the squeamish in any way, as it is filled with blood, violence and plenty of macabre mayhem. Sean Hayden has created a true monster, and one that is loyal to a fault. Walk into a world where all of the creatures that go bump in the night are a part your everyday society and policing them would be impossible had the FBI not brought about a task force comprised of their very brethren. And when the revelation is made at the end, the Demon in question will despise the phrase, "You are the Father!", but the question readers will be left with is will he do what he has been decreed?

Any and all fans of Urban Fantasy and Supernatural are sure to love this read, and be more than ready to get their hands on Book 2, Deceptions.

DARK SACRIFICE by Angie Sandro (ARC Review)

"The makings of a beautiful Gothic Romance, just a little too jumbled and the heroine needs to grow up."

Word count: 95,000 (Goodreads)

Review -

Took me quite a while to write this review, mainly because I had quite a bit of conflicting emotions in regards to the story-line. Did I not like it due to the fact that I did not read Book 1, Dark Paradise? Or did I just really not like the plot, or was it just the main character? While this book was very well written, descriptions were dead on and the author did know much of comings and goings in the Vodoun world, the plot in itself could use a little more help. Not to mention the main character could use a definite reality check and grow up. "With great power, comes great responsibilities." That saying is true with more than just super heroes. When you wield magic as powerful as what Mala LaCroix holds within her very soul, one cannot just dabble into it, begin a drastic spell, then stop in the middle and say, "Oh, never mind", especially when dealing with other people's souls.

Mala LaCroix is the last living LaCroix, a family of extremely powerful Voodoo Queens. As such she is next in line to the thrown when her Great Aunt passes on to the other side. An aunt whom she has promised to be an apprentice to, and learn how to wield her dark art. But when the time comes she is less than enthused. But with enemies from both sides of the grave out to kill her, maybe going with dear old Auntie isn't such a bad idea.

Landry Prince has escaped the hands of death once again. Only this time, he hasn't come back alone. There is a demon living beneath his skin, devouring his soul with every breath he takes. And the only one he can rely on to rid himself of the demon in the Voodoo Queen herself, Magnolia. The question in that scenario, at what lengths will she go? And how can he keep Mayla safe when he can barely even trust himself?

When the action and magic happen, they do indeed make an impression. Too bad there isn't enough of the good to outweigh the bad. And the supposed 'bad' characters are the ones who keep to story flowing. Just as Magnolia tried to explain to her bullheaded niece, there is no such thing as black magic, either the wielder has a black soul or a light one. The decisions you make and the reasons behind them are all that truly matter. Anyone who practices voodoo, or has any roots in the craft, art or religion, may want to skip this read, because what Mayla does in the end will make you want to make a special little doll with her name on it. This book reads more like a Y/A than a N/A, if not for the sex. The characters are not really at the maturity of someone in the twenties, more like teenagers who still don't know which way is up. With some tweaks, this series does carry a lot of potential. As it stands now... This book cannot be read as a stand-alone, too much needed information is lost without having read the first book.

Tamed Review

Tamed by Rebecca Zanetti
Dark Protectors Book 6.5
Published May 15, 2014
4 Fangs

"Just enough of the Realm to tide fans over while awaiting the highly anticipated Book 7, Marked."

Synopsis -

Caleb Donovan was never meant to be a prophet. At heart he's a conqueror, his appetites far more carnal than spiritual. He's not inclined to repress his passions and surrender to fate. After all, that's what cost him Lily—three centuries ago. She married another, because it was ordained. Now that he's in the same benighted calling—and forced into proximity with her—all the old desires are roaring back to life. . .

After widowhood and centuries of celibacy, Lily is eager to explore the wild side of life, except now she's vulnerable to another forced relationship, with an enemy. But this time she's determined to choose her own path. And if hot, furious Caleb comes charging to the rescue, it might just change both their destinies. . .

Love is about to start conquering. . . (Goodreads)

Review -

This novella is a short, bittersweet pill of darkness to keep fans going wile waiting for Janie's book to come out, filled with just enough action, violence, betrayal, romance and intrigue. Though not intended for newcomers to this series, it can be read as a stand-alone as it gives the reader just enough information on the Realm to keep from leaving newbies confused, and not too much for the tried and true can to skip a page.

Lily and Caleb's story is one widely know by all fans. The two have been in love with one another for centuries; one ignoring their feelings out of a sense of duty, the other out of respect for the former. And for the two to both be prophets, they sure are blind to their own destinies. It also leaves them blind to the enemy that is even closer than the man next door. It seems that all three prophets are having visions telling them to do the same as their predecessor once told them needed to be done. Which ended in his death and Caleb becoming a very reluctant prophet himself. As the Realm Rebel it is the last he had expected, and certainly never wanted. These visions are unlike any others any of the trio has ever had, not merely suggesting, but demanding, and threatening. Which brings up the question; are they truly visions, or are they being manipulated by someone other than Fate?

The time has come for the peace talks between the Kurjans, the Vampires and the Demons. Whether everyone remains alive to make to these talks remains to be seen.

Contains blood, violence and hot sex that is definitely not of the vanilla variety. Fans hankering for a Zanetti fix should hurry and get their hands on this read. While it will not hinder from keeping up with the story-line when Marked is finally released, fans will appreciate the plot in Tamed.

BOOK 4: Vampires Need Not...Apply?
BOOK 4.5: Accidentally...Cimil? (a Novella) (Coming in January 2014)
BOOK 5: Accidentally...Over? (Coming in August 2014)

Review -

I have yet to come across one book in this series that I dislike.  Its as though Pamfiloff has conjured Krestley Cole, Lynsay Sands, Sherrilyn Kenyon (because if characters from different books could be related, Cimil would most definitely be at Simi and Nucking Futs Nix family reunion) and Kerrilyn Sparks, and mixed them with the talented, darkly passionate brain that is all her. Readers can feel the passion she has coming off in waves from each and every page, fall in love with all of her characters, both the good ones and the bad. She is also one of the few authors that have taken the time to actually do her research on the Pantheons and incorporated it in this series, blending all into one, well fourteen, nutty gods. Mostly, her biggest goal has been accomplished ten-fold, bringing smiles to the faces of her readers, when they need it most. There has been many a day where I have been on the verge of going on a homicidal rampage that would give Ixtab, Goddess of Suicide, a run for her money, but getting lost in the world that she creates helps to laugh off some of the flames.  Mimi Jean's humor is nicely dark and twisted, just the way I like it.

Vampires Need Not...Apply? features the goddess none of the others would ever want to trade titles with, the Goddess of Suicide.  Ixtab feels as though she is cursed even more-so than all of the others, since she can't allow any living creature to touch her, even cats, without them instantly committing suicide, in various creative ways.  What drove her to begin wearing her black veil and shapeless clothing was one death that has taken her two centuries to get over, her mate.  So when she comes face to face with the womanizing physicist she has been charged to help, and she finds herself staring into the same face as her Francisco sparks fly, just not the kind with butterflies and rainbows.  After seeing what an arrogant pig he presents himself as, she is ready to walk away and let Fate take over, until she realizes she can touch him without killing him.

Dr. Antonio Acero is dead set on discovering the secrets of the tablet and to open the portal in can create, and not just to save humanity.  Acero's driving force is to save his brother from a father that gives the term Dead Beat Dad a whole new meaning, but his time is running out.  And when a chain of events leads to him becoming a Vampire at Ixtab's request he's ready to rip her head off, since it puts a rather huge flaw in his plans. Though she seems to drive him stark raving mad, he can't deny the pull he feels toward her, even before he sees how beautiful she is. And her simple touch makes him realize the necessity of vampires wearing triple stitch leather pants. The real question is, why is he so ready to accept a world where vampires, deities and other such creatures exist? Is he, a man of science, truly that open minded? Or is he something else altogether.

And my question: WHO AND WHAT THE HELL ARE ANN AND JESS?! The question has yet to be answered and is driving me bonkers. We have seen the duo interact and befriend quite a few of the women, tho never with all of them at once. And exactly what is Cimil up to, and what is her end game? Seems as though all of the chaos she created is leading up to a devastating outcome. Only question: will it stop the Apocalypse, or actually cause it? Hopefully those questions will be answered soon.

Do not do this book the injustice of reading it as a Stand Alone, while it can be done, you will not receive the full impact. Even the Novella's must be read. Fans will be happy with all of the interactions with characters we know and love, and a reunion that will cause a few tears to be shed.

Accidentally...Evil?

Accidentally...Evil? by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff (ARC Review)
Accidentally Yours Book 3.5
RePublished April 30, 2013 by Forever Yours
5 Mystical Stars!

"Without evil there would be no need for heroes, and life would be a lot more dull."

Synopsis -

Backlum Chaam, the God of Male Virility, wasn't always such a bad guy. Before his heart turned black and his biggest goal in life became destroying mankind, he was just like any god. Compassionate, loyal, and dedicated. So where did it all go wrong? Sometimes broken hearts don't heal... (Goodreads)

Review -

Did it really all go wrong?  Or did it go exactly according to plan? Looks as though our favorite do-badder is up to her usual antics. The question readers will be left hanging with is why.

Accidentally...Evil? answers more questions than readers even thought to ask. It has been assumes since book 1 that Chaam had been evil from the beginning,  simply tired of his lot in life, as most of the other gods fans have come to know and love. Turns out we couldn't have been farther from the truth. And the reason for his descent will have not only readers in tears, but even el loco, Cimil. The reason for exuberance is also brought to light in this novella.

In this heart-wrenching, darkly hilarious novella, with a devastating ending, readers will fall madly in love with the most hated of all of the gods, as did his mate, Maggie.  Though most novellas fail to give a believable love story in such few pages, that is not the case here. Both except  what fate has lay before them. Only their happily ever after is very short lived.

Some may be tempted to skip this book, I strongly advise against doing so. It is a very important aspect to this series, and an extremely enjoyable read.

Brightarrow Burning Review

Brightarrow Burning by Isabo Kelly (ARC Review)
Fire and Tears Book 1
Published October 11, 2011 by Samhain Publishing
4 Mystical Stars

"Not an easy feat to sum up an entire novel in less than a hundred pages, yet Isabo Kelly has done just that"

Synopsis -

War tore them apart. Betrayal could bring them together…

Layla Brightarrow’s world fell apart the day the Sorcerers invaded her city, intent on using her fellow humans’ pain to augment their spells. Worse, the neighboring elven kingdom declared neutrality, effectively abandoning her people to struggle for survival.

Then some of the elves break neutrality to trade with the Sorcerers, and Layla is ordered to assassinate Althir, brother of the elf lord she has secretly loved all her life.

When Ulric of Glengowyn uncovers his brother’s plot—and that Layla is one of the assassins sent to stop him—his first instinct is to protect her from all possible harm. He’ll even use seduction, if necessary, to get her into a position to talk some sense into her.

Years of pent-up desire is too much for Layla to resist…and one touch unleashes an unquenchable fire that changes everything. Leaving Layla caught between duty and a love that could be her destruction. Or her salvation.

Warning: This book contains evil sorcerers, a scarred heroine, a sexy elf hero, naughty language, and an intoxicating and addicting pheromone that leads to wildly hot sex. Plus traitors, deadly magic, bespelled baddies, and a really, really rotten brother.  (Goodreads)

Review

Looking for a steamy-melt-your-panties/boxers-off hot read to fill up a lonely night, this is the read for you.  This Paranormal Erotica is filled with thrills, chills and enough heat to make your knees go weak.  A love between a human and an elf that has blossomed for years, even neither was the wiser of how the other felt.  Though being on the brink of war would do that.  But when all that heat finally builds up to its boiling point, they may go past the point of no return, and oh how sweet it is.

Layla is an Assassin, determined to do her part in a war that is enslaving her people.  So it is easy to understand her trust issues with the man, well Elf, that she is in love with, Ulrich.  Since her present target is none other than his only brother.  After-all, blood is thicker than lust.  So when Ulrich reenters her life, she has to determine whether he is indeed trying to protect her, or simply use her.

Brightarrow Burning is the perfect set up for the series to come. Fire and Tears Book 2, The Darkness of Glengowyn  is expected out April 29, 2014.  Readers who are looking for a good, quick read to spice up their night, that also includes a plot, are sure to enjoy this read.

The dead have been waiting for her…

Addison Beckett tries hard to pretend she’s normal, but she’s far from it. Since she was six years old, she’s seen the world around her unraveling, as if someone is pulling a thread from a sweater and it’s all slowly coming undone. When she ignores it, it goes away, so that’s what she does.

Enter her arrogant-but-hot professor Asher Green. He knows all about her special brand of crazy. In fact, he might be just as nuts as she is. Asher insists that the dead from a parallel dimension are trying to possess the living in this one. And since Addison seems to be the only one who can see these “wraiths,” she just might be the key to saving the world.

Addison wants nothing to do with Asher or his secret society, The Mortal Machine. But as their animosity grows, she finds it harder and harder to ignore the chemistry between them. And when she discovers that Machine laws forbid her from touching him, she realizes that’s all she wants to do.

Stop the wraiths. Break the rules. Save the world. All in a day’s work.

It’s a chance to be near his daughter, make a new start, and—once he’s met the delectable detective—maybe have a little fun.

There are no monsters. But as Faith’s investigation deepens, her beliefs are eroded and for the first time, she is falling in love—with one of the bad guys. But how can she ever let Ash close when her time is running out…?  (Goodreads)

Review -

I had been waiting impatiently for this book to come ever since I read Bittersweet Magic, longing to see what was in store for one of my favorite demons, Asmodai.  I am happy to say Croft did NOT disappoint.

Asmodai has gone by many different names, Ash Delacourt, Demon of Lust, Prince of Darkness, but none does he crave more than the name Father.  After losing the only woman with the ability to break through with black heart, his wife Lily, the only woman's affection he has craved is that of their daughter he believed to be dead, Tara.  But after ordering her best friend to be brutally murdered, successfully, that seems like a pretty impossible feet.  Even after he goes to his best friend Luc, Lucifer himself, to procure a present for her.  A gift that comes with a price on his part they may lead to him falling for yet another female, a frail human woman, something he always vowed he would not do.  And that woman, with her fiery spirit and strictly black and white attitude has a ticking time bomb getting ready to go off inside of her that will cut whatever time they may have shorter than he realizes.

Faith is one of those women that lives in a world with rose colored glasses; everything is black and white, good or bad with no room for nothing in between.  A world where no ghosts or ghoulies exist.  So when she is offered a position at a government facility, by a Priest and ex-Military man no less, a faction called MI13 that is investigating Christian Roth whom they tell her is a vampire, it takes all of self-control to not fall out of her chair laughing.  Though even when undeniable physical evidence is right in her face, she still can't except it, as though an impenetrable wall comes up at the mention of the word Vampire.  A wall that has been there since her mother was murdered and her body found by Faith when she was only twelve years old.   Being forced to take the job, she refuses to spy on her former partner, Ryan, but she may cede to spy on Ash.  After-all, there is nowhere she take the attraction she reluctantly feels for him.  Not when her Government, the good guys, have deemed the people he works for as bad.  But her righteous government is about to do something so heinous that she will have to change the way she view things.

Full of action, heat, lust, violence, intrigue and most importantly characters readers will actually feel a vested interest in, Bittersweet Darkness is a true must read.  Just not if you are righteous, holier than thou, squeamish or believe that vampires should sparkle and Angels only create miracles.  Because in this world, Demons may be the not-so-bad guys and Angels the not-so-good guys.  And I am also happy to say that Croft has proven to be one of those authors with the ability to surprise even me, which is saying something after all the Paranormal books I have read.

Yes, this can be read as a stand alone, though I recommend reading the entire series'.

4 Mystical Stars

"The hardest person for a Matchmaker to play matchmaker for, is herself."

Summary -

Supernatural matchmaker Tessa Dandridge knows a little mist here and a little magic there will help reckless werewolves and precocious pixies find love. That is, until her magical Smythe scroll is lost in her repo’ed car and she can’t contact her V.I.P. clients. To connect with an important client cavorting in the fifth dimension, Tessa must depend on handsome Rob Shin, a warlock repo man, to enter Limbo and find her Smythe scroll.

Rob has money problems of his own, thanks to the bank determined to foreclose on his elderly aunt and uncle’s home. Repossessing magic wands and cursed pianos from disgruntled warlocks isn’t the best pay, but the Navy SEAL works well as a repo man to pay off his family’s debts. Rob’s repossession jobs catch up with him when a powerful warlock seeks to end his life for his constant meddling, drawing Tessa in the middle.  (Goodreads)

Review -

Truth be told, I had no idea what to expect when reading the title.  I mean, come on, a Warlock Repo Man?But I can also honestly say I am more than happy to have had the opportunity to read this book and more than pleasantly surprised with how things turned out.

Having more than a few financial problems myself, I could definitely feel where Tessa was coming from.  Determined to make it on her own and make her business a success, without asking her family, who are indeed well off, for any help. Even a Water Witch has to have some pride, and in some cases asking for help can be a physical ache.  Especially when the people you would have to ask have been dissappointing the entirety of your life, or would like nothing more than to see you fail, miserably.  So, when her car gets repossessed, by a man she ogled so hard at a stoplight she could probably count just how many dimples were in his derriere, and the only way to contact the one client that could make or break her is in the glove compartment, let's just say she is pretty desperate to get it back.    But when one door closes....

Minho 'Rob' Shin is a powerful Warlock, Navy SEAL and a Supernatural Repo Man.  Coming home to find his Aunt and Uncle in dire need of cash, he takes on any odd job he can find, including that of a Repo Man of a special sort.  Not only does he repo cars', but wands, magical jewelry and even a rabbit's foot here and there, tossing the items into Limbo and leaving a magical calling card whenever payments become non-existent.  After-all, though magic may be free, magical items are not.  Whenever there is a discrepancy the owner is more than free to settle the dispute in the Supernatural Municipal Court, as long as they're willing to wait in line for a few years.  Except for Tessa Dandridge, who is not willing to wait, but willing to do whatever else it takes to get her car back, more importantly the Scroll inside, even if it means jumping into Limbo each and every time he goes to Repo something.  But Rob better watch out, because she may just jump into his heart as well and he is quickly running out of time.

There is also a war brewing on the sidelines, Wizards' VS Warlocks.  And one very Dark Warlock determined for the Warlocks to come out on top, whatever means necessary.  So when Rob and Tessa start meddling in his business by repossessing items on his evil to-do list, he can think of quite a few imaginative punishments, i.e. an extended trip to Limbo, or even death.  Either would suit him just fine.

Fans of Magic and Love will love this read; it's pretty light with just a smidgen of darkness.  So for readers taking their first step into the Paranormal world this will be the perfect read.  For readers who only feel at home when reading of the Paranormal, you'll be sure to like this too.  There may not be much blood and guts, but it is indeed a beautiful love story and a fresh, new outlook on the Supernatural world.

The Succbus, The Witch and The Vampire

This short story is not to be duplicated, reprinted, published, sold in any type of way or format without the express permission of the author, Tiffany Moorman.

Please do not read any further if you are under the age of 18 or are sensitive to any sexual behaviors.  Oh, and enjoy!  Trying to make up for being late on my reviews.

I awoke with a start, gasping for air.  Considering the situation, I’m surprised I didn’t come to and start screaming my head off like a banshee.  Oh, I also woke up not knowing where the hell I was, or how I got there.  Some birthday this was turning out to be.

See, I went to bed just like any other normal twenty year old.  Turning twenty-one, being able to drink, legally anyway, FINALLY saved up enough money to move out on my own.  I even went to bed early because me and my girls were supposed to be celebrating all day and all night!  Including getting rid of my virginity!  Growing up with a house full of orphaned witches, vampires and were’s does not make a dating life easy, believe me.

Well, one thing is for certain, I no longer have to worry about losing my virginity. OH STUFF IT!  U STUFF IT! Ur the one who got us into this mess! Well, arguing with u isn’t gonna help us remember jack!  Great, now I’m having a mental battle with myself, that’ll really help me figure out wtf happened.

First thing I should probably do is take in my surroundings, eh? One thing is for sure, I don’t have to even think about my little virgin issues.  Ha! Seeing as though I am stark-bootie butt-naked besides some damn collar on my neck, in a huge bed with three just as naked men with collars on their necks!  Thankfully they're blissfully sleeping still.  Thank Goddess for small favors.  Hopefully I can figure this out before they wake-up.  And from the smell of things, I’d better act fast.  Though they all have their faces turned away from me I can smell shifter, vampire and holy shit!!! A damn demon?!
Hookay, Jelissa, lets pull it together.  The only thing I'm missing as of right now is any memory of last night, well that and my damn clothes.  Time to answer the question I've been dreading, do I still have any powers?  Screwed up as they may be, anything is better than nothing at this point.

See, I’m a witch, well actually I’m more than that, but that’s all the orphanage seer’s could see clearly when I was brought to them as an infant.  That, and the fact that I was pretty much a mutt.   They ended up having me sniffed out to try and figure out what I was.  All that concluded was I have four different bloodlines within me.  Talk about multiracial.  The orphanage wasn’t, and still isn’t, an uncommon place for something like that. It’s pretty much what makes up the whole place, unwanted cross-breeds, misfits, or true orphans whose parents’ have passed on. Well, okay, there’s usually only two things kids are cross-bred with, not four, and the seer’s had no problem figuring out what that is.  Guess I’m special.  So I became a great guessing game, and they’ve just bided their time waiting to see what powers, if any, I developed.  So far I have the ability to call insects, which came in quite handy in school and some telekinesis (I say some cause if I get too upset I just blow up whatever it is I’m trying to move). Which may come in handy now.  If I focus on the lock on the door, whether it unlocks or simply blows up who the Hell cares as long as it opens. So I focus, and focus some more, and the only result I get is a little dizziness, feeling myself going cross-eyed and nauseated.

“Damnit,” I mutter.

Maybe I can do a past visualization.  If I can’t get out, maybe I can at the very least figure out how I got here.  And pray to Goddess that nothing else happens while I’m in a trance.

As above so below, I begin chanting, show me the events I need to know.  Letting go of all and any other thoughts, as above, so below, show me the events I need to know. Taking in deep breaths, letting my physical body go, as above so below, show me the events I need to know.  Letting my spirit slide into the black, stillness of the astral, asabovesobelowshowmetheeventsIneedtoknow, as above, so below, as above, so below……….

“Aw shit,” I gasp, realizing I’ve overdone it, like I do so many things.  Because instead of just seeing what happened last night, I’ve ended up in the back of my own mind and will not only watch the events that took place, but get to relive them, without being able to stop a damn thing.

Well, at least I didn’t go back too far.  I was back in my bedroom, just finishing putting on the black leather and lace corset Genie, my best-friend/wizard/werewolf, had gotten me for my big day.  I was determined to figure out how to work the damn garter belt.  I mean, really, who invented this crap.  Oh yeah, a sorceress who could just flash her clothes on with no prob, not thinking about poor lil misfits who have had terrible incidents with trying to do so.  Yeah, so not going there.

But, anyway, I was looking pretty damn good.  The corset was perfect,  hiding my love handles just so, shaped my big ass boobs quite nicely with just enough cleavage showing through and the leather of the boy shorts was the soft kind, and felt oh so good.  I even had my odd colored hair cascading down my back.  No, I am not exaggerating, its long and wavy, and dark brown with a little blonde, red and black highlights.  Like an anime style hair-do gone all wrong.

Sitting on the side of my bed preparing for the dastardly task of working with the forsaken garter belt, something on the end table next to my bed caught my eye.  A tall, skinny, frosty glass with something that looked like smoke coming from the top, and a note underneath.

Hey Lee,

Just a little something to calm your hectic nerves and start the night off right. A wolfmist spritzer.  Don’t worry, its only just enough liquor in it, won’t knock you on your ass too hard. LOL. Just enough so you can relax through that twelve o’clock mark and not worry so much about what the rest of your bloodlines might have you turning into! LMAO. We love you girl, and want you on your WORST behavior tomorrow!

Night Love,
Deela

“Sweetness,” I said to myself.

I gingerly took a small sip, cause you never know what you might end up with when it comes to D.  Good intentions and all that, she may be mixing liquor and potions all at the same time, and might have given me the wrong glass.  You get the picture.  But after a few delicate sips, it was going down nice and smooth, with just enough bite to it, so I decided to down the rest.  Big mistake.

I didn’t even realize how I was even feeling anything until I tried standing up, and plopped right back down on the bed.  All of a sudden I got a major head rush and felt as though my legs couldn’t even hold me up.  I remember thinking that’s weird, I may be just now turning twenty-one, but this sure as hell wasn’t my first drink.  I chalked it up to drinking too fast.  I ran a hand over my face and tried to shake it off.  That so did not work.  At that point I just wanted get some water or something, anything, because something was so not right.  Second attempt at getting up though, even worse than the first, I went to stand and landed on my knees.  Bracing my hands on the floor, I tried to pull myself up, thenended up on my hands and knees barely holding my head up.It felt like a boulder on top of my shoulders.  I would have fallen down completely on my face had I not been grabbed from behind, non-too gently, by a pair of rough, strong hands.

The stranger picked me up, then sat down on my bed with me in his lap.  My eyes were rolling to the back of my head, I fought desperately to keep them open.

“Who….the fuck…..are you?”, I rasped.

“Never you mind that,” answered a deep, gruff voice, “who I am is unimportant.”

“The….wards,” it was such a struggle to speak, to stay conscious.  Every room in here had wards.  No one was allowed in anyone else’s room without permission, except for the head-mistresses of course. “How?”

“Those shabby sigils placed around here?  Don’t make me laugh.” He began touching me then, and I was helpless to stop him, then and now. “Let’s see what merchandise the master has me picking up now, shall we?”

“Don’t…..please…..don’t touch…me,” my words just fell upon deaf ears.  I tried to open my eyes wider,  hopingto see what this man looked like, but it was pointless.  He wore a cloak, and there was no way could I try to pull it back.  Holding me up by one arm, he took his other hand and roughly grabbed onto my breast through the corset.   Then let his hand slide down my abdomen, then lower.  I started breathing heavier, never have I felt so violated.

“Mmm….very nice equipment you have here, but that’s just the outside.” Taking his thumb to push my underwear aside, he jammed one finger inside of me, hard.  I wanted to scream but I couldn’t find my voice.  He took it out, a second later I heard him popping hisfinger out of his mouth, “Tastes, lovely.”  Then he tried to jam two fingers in, hard, fast and deep.  It hurt! “Oh my my, surely this is a jest, untried waters.  And for what has been prepared for you?”  He began laughing then, a sick laughter, though it was fading like I was falling down a tunnel.  Everything began to fade away.

NO! Don’t blackout! I shouted to myself, frantic, knowing how futile it was, GET UP!! I can only see what you can see, and we need to figure this out!!

Then blackness.

When I came to again, I was being carried by the stranger, I couldn’t get a smell on what he was exactly, my mind was still too foggy.  I feel hot, from the inside out, like I was coming down with a fever, but sickness isn’t what I feel.  I just feellike I needed something, but what?

As he carried me down a long darkened stone hallway, my terror grows, but my fear was nothing compared to the unbearable heat I was feeling.

The farther down the hall we went, the louder the sounds of fighting grew.  I could hear jaws snapping, snarling, the sounds of flesh pounding on flesh.  We were going towards it, not away.  The sounds were becoming so loud they were almost deafening.

And the heat! It was so stifling I could barely breathe.  And my body, my breasts began feeling so tight it was almost painful.  The ache didn’t stop there, it travelled even lower along with a liquefied heat down past my abdomen, all the way down to my very core, it felt as though my clit was literally throbbing, pulsating.  I was tempted to ask my captor if he felt it too.  Though I knew he couldn’t have, he was walking with not a break in his stride, carrying me as if I were no more than a ragdoll.  I peered up at my captor, trying once again in vein to get a glimpse of him but I couldn’t see past that damn cloak.  It kept his face hidden in shadows.

We finally came to a stop, and from the sounds of it we were about to enter right where all of the fighting sounds were coming from.

Setting me on my feet, with his arm still around my waste, my captor leaned down putting his nose in the crook of my neck inhaling deeply, “Mmm….smells like everything is kicking in quite nicely.  Seems as though all of your bloodlines are ready to merge together and come out and play.  I think you and your…..roomies will get along just fine.

“Can you stand on your own?”, he asked, while easing his arm from around my waist, slowly stepping away from me.  Surprisingly, I was able to stand on my own, though my brain felt like a jumbled mess. “Very good then, off you go.”  With that, he pushed open the massive, mahogany door we were standing in front of and shoved me inside, closing the door firmly behind me.

The room was enormous, stone walls painted black with drips here and there running down looking like blood.  The only illumination came from the few sconces hanging off the walls. Though that didn’t seem to matter, somehow I was seeing everything with crystal clarity.  I mean sure, I have good eyesight, but this was something totally different, I could make out every shape, every shadow, every crease on the satin sheets that covered the huge bed in the center of the room.

But that’s not what I was focusing on right now, it was the source of all of the noise which suddenly stopped as soon as I entered.  In the corner of the room a werewolf in wolf form, in all his silver glory stopped in midswipe scenting the air, jerked his head in my direction inhaling deeply took a step back from his combatives.  He threw his head back and howled, and I heard an answering howl in the back of my mind.  Sparks in the air indicating he was about to change form.

An incredibly beautiful male, no, vampire, who was on the receiving end of the would-be swipe, pivoted in my direction.Gorgeous white hair with silver streaks flowing down his bare back, deadly yet sexy fangs protruding from his mouth, eyes bleeding red.  Tilting his head almost cat like to the side, he looked directly into my eyes and hissed and took huge jump back.  While staring at him in wonder and awe, I felt my gums begin to ache.

Looking down on the floor beside the vampire, I saw a demon with his gazed transfixed on me.  And not just any demon, an incubus, hazel, bedroom eyes on cream a colored face, chiseled to utter perfection.  I knew he was of the incubi because something of me knew, recognized it, and answering to him as well.  He jumped from his back to his hands and knees, crawling towards me.

They all started towards me slowly, unsure with a look of curiosity and hunger in their eyes.  Even the wolf who had finished changing into a gleaming, sweaty, muscular hot chocolate male with no hair on his entire body from head to toe.  I felt myself beginning to walk towards them, drawn to all of them.

Once they reached me, there were no words, none were needed, not here not now.  It was like a well choreographed dance, each man knew exactly where to go, and none of them so much as flinched if they accidentally touched one or the other.

The demon reached me first, he stood and took my lips in a devouring kiss, one meant to take ones soul away in glorious agony, only that is not what happened.  And I began to realized just what my captor meant, because the succubus in me came to the forefront to devour him as well.  Our souls had a sensual battle with each other, almost having us both climax right then, we broke the kiss on a shocked gasp. He then went behind me, working the lace of my corset.

The vampire was suddenly there, capturing my face in his hands staring into my eyes.  Fangs still protruding from his gums, I felt fangs of my own ripping through my gums.  I had no time to feel the pain though, as if he knew I was about to, he pressed his lips against mine, sliding in his tongue to glide it against my gums, coating them with his healing salve that I had only heard about.  He began kissing me in earnest, nibbling at one another with our fangs drawing just a taste and oh how sweet it is.  Going down to his knees, he began to work my underwear off my hips.

The werewolf, no gentleness with that one, grabbing a fistful of my hair he yanked my head to the side to sniff at my neck.  Whatever he smelled there he must have liked, he crushed his mouth to mine.  Kissing me hard and demanding, exploring my entire mouth with his tongue. Then his inner wolf melded with the wolf I never even knew I had.

Somehow we all ended up on the bed, all of us naked, all of them kissing or licking some part of my body.  It felt glorious.  Being part succubus had every one of my holes hot, wet and ready and all of them were hard, stiff and waiting.

On my knees kissing the vampire his hands kneading my breasts, pinching my nipples. The demon on his back, his tongue working wonders inside of me while his thumb played with my clit, he worked his tongue in, out and around kissing and sucking as though he had just discovered the finest wine.  The werewolf on his knees behind me, working his fingers into yet another hole, stretching me, preparing me.  I screamed an orgasm into the vampires mouth as the were began to nudge into me, the demon getting to his knees as the vampire began to push his shaft into my very core.  They both began thrusting into me, slowly at first and then faster, both going at a synchronized rhythm,  inducing both pleasure and exquisite pain inside of me.  The demon on his knees, I grabbed his ass bringing him closer to me, putting his entire long, thick shaft in my mouth until it was touching the back of my throat.

Which is how I bonded with him first.  As he spent his seed inside of my mouth and it trickled down my throat, our souls went in and out of one another’s bodies, pledging to each other for all eternity.

I felt myself tighten and clench around the vampire and wolf as they grew larger inside of me, and I bonded with them too.  The vamp and I latched onto each necks with our fangs, marking each other, the wolf sank his own fangs into my shoulder, my wolf answering his with claws that sprang from my fingertips latching into his thigh.  And we all climaxed going over the edge together in bliss.

Coming back to the here and now, all I realize is that I am even more screwed than I thought.  I am now bonded with a wolf, a demon and a vampire and we don’t even know each other’s names!  Not only that, how are they going to feel about that when they awaken?  Were they drugged like I was?  Will they remember everything that happened?

I finally know everything that I am, and it’s a truly messed up combo, a witch, a vamp, a wolf and a succubus, but what good does it do me when I’m being held captive by who knows what, or why.  And a collar on me that’s blocks me from using any of those powers.

Dear Goddess I need HELP!!
